Martinscica is the second largest settlement located in a wide bay on the west side of the island Cres.
History and Heritage
It was named after the mediaeval church of St. Martin, which is already mentioned in the 15st. .. Speaking of history, it is important to mention a Franciscan monastery that is more in 16st. more precisely 1525 g. built in full and the Sforza Castle which was built in 17 st. and on the beautiful hills around Martinscice adventures types can see ruins of the Romanesque church of Saint Christopher, fragments of the Gothic Church of St. Kuzma and Damian, by the sea in the bays you can see a trace of ancient villas.
Beaches
Martinscica has the longest and most beautiful pebble beaches on the island which are located along the coast; one of these is 1 km long and passes through the northern part of the bay. Locality is decorated with a lot of Mediterranean vegetation and untouched nature and the beautiful beaches will give you the opportunity for a quality, relaxed and memorable vacation.

Gastronomy, entertainment
Quality taverns and restaurants you will find a few, but we recommend tavern "Mareta" which is located two kilometers from our apartment, be sure to try the local specialties of widely known Cres lamb and sheep cheese and of course, dishes of fish and seafood that are very characteristic in our kitchen.
Evening entertainment can you can enjoy  in one of the cafes and the local population knows organize fishing and folk fest. If you want to try out a different kind of fun guy hiking (beautiful Osorscica ( island Mali Losinj)  is long 15 kilometers and the highest top is Televrin with 588 meters, and the top Sis( island Cres) with 638 meters), or cycling, diving, rent boat or sports activities all this is possible in our place, If you have decide on a trip by boat to the "Blue Rocks" or to our neighbor islands in our local travel agency you can informed of the terms of the trip.
How to arrive to Martinscica
If you are arriving by car, there are two ferry lines:
1.Valbiska-Merag (from island Krk)                                                                      
2.Brestova-Porozina (Istra)
By bus from Zagreb / Rijeka
